Studies show that 90 percent of the wear in diesel engines is caused by particles between 2 and 7 microns in size. Conventional full-flow filters are only designed to capture particles in the 35 to 40 micron range. Any denser and your full-flow filter wouldn’t be able to keep up with your engine’s lubrication demand. Thankfully, the FS-2500 is an oil bypass filtration system designed to capture particles down to 1 micron with over 98% efficiency.
